Meet outside Grain Barge, Hotwell Road
Your tour guides will meet you at 11.45am outside Grain Barge on Hotwell Road, Bristol. The boat leaves at 12pm so no need to arrive any early – just make sure you aren’t late though as we will have to leave at 12pm prompt.
You’ll take a 30 minute private ferry ride (nicknamed HMS Hops) down the harbourside. You’ll taste a couple of lighter beer styles to start the day and hear about the history of brewing in Bristol and the UK. We are currently sampling drinks from Bristol Beer Factory.
Moor Brewery Tour & Tasting Session
You’ll arrive at Moor Brewery after a 10 minute walk from the ferry landing point. Upon arrival you will have a tour inside the brewery and see how beer is made on the equipment. You’ll then spend time in the Moor Brewery Taproom and have an opportunity to taste a number of different beer styles at your leisure.
Old Bristol Brewery Site
You will then walk from Moor Brewery for around 20 minutes, through Castle Park and walk past the site of the old Bristol Brewery (George’s Brewery and later Courage). You’ll pass by the new Left Handed Giant Brewpub on the site.
Your tour finishes at Beer Emporium on King Street, where you will sample a final flight of craft beer and enjoy sharing platters of Italian cheeses and meats. There’s also a discount available should you wish to grab a bigger bite to eat after the tour ends.
Please note, venues may change on the day or for future dates and we reserve the right to alter the schedule if required.
